MINUTES
OF MONDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2020 REGULAR MEETING
Meeting
opened at 6:00
Present
at the meeting:
Mayor- Linda
Petterson-Law
Trustee- Linda Denton-
Trustee Timothy Morford-
Trustee- Stephen Helmin-
Trustee- Jolene Hornbeck-
Motion
by Trustee Helmin to move Public Comment to the beginning of the meeting due to
concerns regarding maximum occupancy with COVID19 rules. Seconded by
Trustee Denton. AII AYES and NO NAYS. Motion Passed.
PUBLIC
COMMENT:
It
was asked what is going to be done with the building at 33 Main St. that
burned. The process was explained and that it is now in the hands of the owner
and his insurance company.
Snyder
Park: The Mayor advised that the park is closed and will remain so until spring.
Mary Ann Kruger asked what are the children supposed to do. There is no school,
no sports, and here are kids going up and down the street. The Mayor explained
she can’t be at the park 24/7 and the police aren’t doing anything. The Mayor
then read a list of things that have been happening in the park. MaryAnn Kruger
stated she knows of parents that are interested in helping. The Mayor stated
that is a liability. The Mayor stated that the park is on the agenda to start a
watch group in the Spring. At this point in time, unless we can get cooperation
from the Sheriff’s Office to enforce the complaints the people have made, I
don’t see it opening until the Spring.
MaryAnn
Kruger suggested that when someone new moves in that we do a “Welcome Wagon”,
bring a little something and introduce themselves. All agree that is a nice
idea.
