MINUTES OF JANUARY 16, 2018 MEETING

 

Meeting opened at 6:01 p.m.

Present at the meeting:

PUBLIC COMMENT:

Steve Helman- please printout extra agendas for the public, also complemented the website.

Website only listed public hearing but not what it was about, and no notice posted on board outside.

AUDIT OF THE BILLS:

MOTION MADE BY:  Trustee Denton To ACCEPT THE AUDIT OF THE BILLS AND TO PAY THOSE BILLS FOR THE MONTH, Seconded by Trustee Rose. All Ayes and No Nayes. Motion Passed.

MOTION MADE BY:  Trustee Rose To ACCEPT THE AUDIT OF THE BILLS FOR THE FFJWWTP AND TO PAY TWO BILLS PENDING REIMBURSEMENT FROM FONDA, Seconded by Trustee Denton. All Ayes and No Nayes. Motion Passed.

 

 

BOARD MEMBERS/STAFF REPORTS:

Trustee Morford working on page two of the website.

Trustee Rose-

Trustee Denton- asked about getting paid for the cardboard. We are playing phone tag with county waste.

Vickie commented that when speaking with Lou Romano that program stopped sometime ago.

Asked about speaking with the Post Office and Michael to please not shovel the snow on the curb, to

please put it somewhere else. Trustee Denton to speak to both places.

Asked about having bank balances at each meeting.

Chief’s report: attached, along with quotes for parts. Board is in agreement to purchase.

            Masonic building is full of water.

Code and Zoning: attached

Water Department: Will be doing reports starting in February. The Village is no longer in violation.

 

MAYORAL REPORT:

Dry Dock Creek was monitored last week by Bill, Nick, and Justin. The Firemen monitored the river. The gate

was opened and closed again, and all culverts were cleared.

Need to advertise for a sexton to take over and run the cemetery, may offer a small salary. Sexton sells sites and

 does all paperwork, will not do up keep.

WWTP- have been in talks with the Village of Fonda to get bills paid. Tina working on our quarterly

payments. Trying to set a meeting with Laberge to discuss $160,000.00 billing at WWTP. Linda tried to

 set up on line a Tax ID for the WWTP and it wanted the Villages Tax number. Looking to Brett for

assistance.

Project 16-WWTP grant. Tim and Linda made an agreement with Leberge to move things along. We agreed to

remove certain things, that are mostly fluff, to stay under the grant limit.

State of the Village- Have a new team, we are all learning. Good working board, everybody is giving 150%. We

 are establishing our own protocols and forms. We will be hiring 2 laborers. Elections coming up. We

have had a lot of changes since the first of the year. Things are better than ever at the WWTP according to Justin.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Water Rate Chart- Linda found the paperwork for the old way rates were done while looking through things.

            Don will present in February about update our meter system and meters. Work Session set for

Wednesday January, 24, 2018 6:00 P.M. post at Post Office.

Village Sign; The part has been ordered and the church is paying the total bill.

Copies of new forms for water/sewer and trailer have been ordered on NCR paper.

Employee Handbook: need to finalize.
