MINUTES OF April 24, 2018 BUDGET WORKSHOP

 

Meeting opened at 5:00 p.m.

Present at the meeting:

Mayor- Linda Petterson-Law

Trustee- Robyn Rose

Trustee- Linda Denton

Trustee Timothy Morford

Trustee- Stephen Helmin

 

 

Discussion regarding the 2018-2019 budget:

1)      Chainsaw has been purchased

2)      Chris Snell- Linda wants to make him salary. He has been working extra hours, because Don had surgery, and this way no matter how many hours he works he makes the same thing. After discussion it was decided to keep him hourly because he doesn’t work extra hour very often and it will cost the Village less as an hourly employee.

3)      Would like to make Sarah salary. Discussed what Sarah’s hour will be once Vickie’s hours increase.

4)      What month should we proceed with the new meters? First half could be done in June and the second half could be done in August. We need to do a sole source justification because we didn’t go out to bid.

5)      Would like to give Chris Snell and Sarah a 2% salary increase. Linda, Tina and Vickie declined an increase, as well as the Trustees. Vote to raise Sarah’s salary: Mayor Petterson-Law- Yes, Trustee Denton-Yes, Trustee Morford- Abstain, Trustee Helmin- Yes, Trustee Rose- Abstain

6)      Decrease Mayor’s salary to $7,000.00 from $7,500.00.
