Trustee
Helmin- He now has access to NYCOM. Memorial Day Parade went well. Mentioned we
need Ethics Board Members. He has tried working on the phone issues, Telecom
would have to do the corrections. It might be easier to purchase a new phone
system? Yes.
Trustee

A chart is to be made up, and she will look at the info that came in with her
newsletter.

and again today. He explained there were some equipment issues.

MAYORAL REPORT:
Grant
16- Pump Station on Broad Street is in need of some work. The clarifier at the
Waste Water plant needs a motor replaced and some of the metal inside needs
some help. Steve saw a man taking water samples on Broad Street. He works for
Adirondack Environmental and they are hired by the leather mills to do their
mandatory testing twice a year for the EPA. It is under our Sewer Use law that
we can request and receive a copy of the report.
Linda
asked about the dumpster outside. We pay for it, we do not make anything. The
dumpster is being used to dump bundled newspapers from all 3 newspapers by
their drivers every day. Steve would like to see how many residents use it.
The
Village sign- There is more that is needed to get the sign up and running. The
quote for this from Adirondack Neon is $1,910.00. The sign title is in the
Villages name. The Church is willing to contribute $1,000.00 and is asking the
Village to pay the balance. The Mayor thinks that perhaps the village should
take over the programing. A budget addendum will need to be done.
1-03
MOTION MADE BY: Trustee Helmin To ADOPT
RESOLUTION 06-04, 2018 to Pay $950.00 towards Adirondack Neon and electrical
upgrades., Seconded by Trustee Denton. All Ayes
and No Nays. Motion Passed.
Waste
Water Treatment meeting on Wednesday June 20. Linda will attend the meeting,
anyone that received the e-mail can call in and listen. Linda explained what
happened/didn’t happen with Grant 16 and what our options are.
The
Village has not received a signed letter of resignation from Trustee Morford,
therefore we can’t fill any vacancy.
Code
change regarding trailers parked on streets being used mostly for storage. The
code would say any trailer parked on the street has to be connected to a
vehicle. Public Hearing July 16 at 5:45.
OLD BUSINESS:
The
Employee handbook is still in the works.
Website:
Not being administered as we would like.
NEW BUSINESS:
Splash
Pad- Needs to be removed. Ryan Snyder knows someone that would purchase it and
take it out. Linda to speak with him to see if this is a viable plan. Our
liability insurance company says if we even think about turning it on we better
check our policy. We would need a lifeguard on duty. Steve would like to know
the cost.
Steve
thinks anyone coming to the office should sign as being in the office. Linda
agrees.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Laurie
Fischer asked who needs new water meters- everyone is getting new meters. The
meters are old and a lot of the reader boxes do not work. The installation
company will contact residents to set times.
Bill
Rose asked how much to replace water valve, $150.00. Residents can replace the
valve themselves a head of time if it is not working.
Steve
asked if we could get a copy of the postcard that are going out.
Olive
Taylor asked about parking around Snyder Park. It is posted as NO PARKING.
Linda thinks this would be a good time to have the candidates for Sheriff in
for a talk.
